The BDI's
The BDI's are a three piece band made up of B, D and I.
Originally from Southport, the band have been playing together since they were teenagers - their first demos attracting the attention of such luminaries as legendary Rolling Stones producer Jimmy Miller.
In their early days they were known as The Panda Gang, releasing two albums in Japan and a number of singles including 'Flipside' for the well respected Shifty Disco label.
In 2007 they became The BDI's and released their self titled debut album in Japan and the UK to critical acclaim.
"I didn't think they made records like this anymore..." said Robert Elms on BBC Radio London.
Teletext's Alistair Clay declared the album a "genuine soul sensation".
The band spent the next two years recording their follow up album 'Glorious Return'.
February 2010 saw the release of the first single from the album "It Was Not Serious".
"Tight harmonies and catchy melodies that bring to mind the more iconic bits of The Beatles..." wrote Sharon Lougher in Metro.
'Glorious Return' will be released on 28th June 2010.
